Module 5

Wild Writing - creative writing inspired by nature

Many famous authors and poets have found their inspiration in nature, now it’s your turn to use the natural world. The biosecurity story has lots of different parts, including stowaways, population changes, invasive predators, and more. Seabirds also live fascinating lives above and below the water, as well as on land. Why not use their long migrations, clifftop nests, or large colonies as a starting point, or something else altogether! This activity is about spending time in the natural world and using it to inspire creativity in writing, be it a poem, a song, a piece of non-fiction writing or even a fictional piece.
