The Biosecurity for LIFE team have created biosecurity engagement activities for families visiting Canna, Mousa, and the Farne Islands.
Our education team has produced engaging curriculum-linked learning materials co-designed by children at Scottish island schools. Here we share some of these materials so you too can download activity packs, watch presentations and feel inspired to carry out your own educational activities on your island.
We also provide the background to the 'Biosecurity for LIFE' project and why combined effort across the UK is so important.
Together we can protect seabird islands into the future.
Everyone can use this map to learn more about the amazing wildlife on Mousa and the importance of working together to protect it.
Use this description when explaining what an invasive predator is and the risks they pose to seabird islands.
Use this resource to succinctly explain what biosecurity is and how we can all play our part to keep islands safe for seabirds.
We excited that at St Martins Haven this sign will soon be in place at the gateway to the spectacular seabird islands of Skomer, Skokholm, Middleholm and Grassholm.
When visiting Canna, young people can use this pack to help them explore the amazing wildlife and learn how biosecurity helps protect thee special species.
